Denver Bujinkan Dōjō

A private, non-commercial dōjō dedicated to the proper study and transmission of the classical Japanese military arts — koryū budō taijutsu — practiced in their formal applications, in a non-competitive environment.

The dōjō & the tradition

The Denver Bujinkan Dōjō studies the classical Japanese military arts and sciences as a living transmission — not as sport. Training is formal, non-competitive, and grounded in the kata and principles handed down through the tradition. The dōjō-chō is Rich Pace.

The Bujinkan is an international organization, based in Chiba-ken, Japan, devoted to the dissemination of several koryū under the headmastership of Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi. Nine koryū schools are taught within the organization, alongside other teachings pertaining to the classical Japanese military arts and ways.

Joining the dōjō x

This is a private dōjō with selective membership. Instruction represents years of effort — including repeated training trips to Japan — and every new student is a real commitment on the part of the instructors. Acceptance rests on passion and dedication to training, and on a good fit with the dōjō and the traditions it carries.

By referral

An introduction from an established Bujinkan member who can vouch for your character is the most direct path.
